REALITY: DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Partially collapsed walls are in unpredictable equilibrium. Vibration from traffic or aftershocks can finish the collapse.
DANGER: DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Fatal crushing from delayed wall failure.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — A failed wall releases lateral and vertical loads suddenly. Bricks, blocks, and rebar become projectiles.
