DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Stop anyone from entering. Mark danger zone around opening.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Call 112 — request confined space rescue team.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Talk continuously to person below — ask about injuries and breathing difficulty.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Lower rope with a loop for hands only — tell them not to tie around waist.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Lower water in a container on rope if they are conscious and it will take time for rescue.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Ventilate if possible — fan air into shaft without you leaning over edge.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Call 112. Say: "Person trapped in well/borehole at [village/address]. Depth unknown. Conscious [yes/no]. Do not enter."
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Send someone to guide rescue vehicles to exact location.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Confined space rescue requires professional equipment — hypoxia, fractures, and head injury are common.

REALITY: DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Wells can contain low oxygen and toxic gases. Multiple rescuer deaths occur in well incidents every year.
DANGER: DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Second person collapses at bottom — now two victims requiring rescue.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Wells and boreholes are confined spaces — oxygen may be low and walls can collapse.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Untrained rescuers who enter often become second victims.
