   Step 1: If in a car — park in clear area, engine off, windows up, lie low

   Step 2: Cover body with wool blanket or jacket if available

   Step 3: Call 112 — give GPS location if possible

4. 4

   Step 4: If on foot — find cleared ground or body of water if already very close

5. 5

   Step 5: Breathe air close to ground through cloth
