Collapsed stair flights are unstable — climbing over them triggers further fall.

Get to landing if you can. Cover mouth. Tap metal. Call 112. Use other exit.

Step 1: If on collapsing stairs, grab railing and move to nearest landing if possible
Step 2: If trapped, protect airway with cloth and tap on metal railing or pipes
Step 3: Do not use elevator — use alternative exit if another stairwell exists
Step 4: Call 112 or 108 with floor level and building location
Step 5: Do not climb over collapsed stair debris — find another route out

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT climb collapsed stair pile — it slides like avalanche.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT use elevator when stairwell fails — fire may have caused both.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT light fire for visibility in stairwell.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Call 112 or 108. Say stairwell collapse with building address and floor.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Report blocked primary egress and number needing alternate route assistance.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — If trapped: tap metal and conserve voice for when rescuers are close.

Anyone trapped between flights or with fall injuries needs rescue.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Fall between flights causes crush and spinal injuries — professional extrication required.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Building may be condemned pending full structural assessment.
