Step 1: Shout for others to call 112
Step 2: Reach — extend a pole, branch, or oar for them to grab
Step 3: Throw — toss a rope, life ring, or anything that floats
Step 4: Go — only enter water with a flotation device if reach and throw fail
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT jump in without flotation — this is the most common way rescuers die.
