Step 1: Call 112 and fire/rescue immediately — do NOT enter the well
Step 2: Keep talking to the person — reassure them help is coming
Step 3: Lower rope or pipe for them to hold — do not pull with rope around body untrained
Step 4: Keep people away from the opening — more collapse risk
Step 5: Drop a flashlight or phone on rope if they are conscious
