Do This Now

Step 1: Call 112 if they have severe headache, chest pain, confusion, or vision loss
Step 2: Help them sit quietly and stay calm
Step 3: Do not give extra blood pressure medicine unless they know their doctor's instructions
Step 4: Ask what medicines they take and whether they missed doses

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT give someone else's blood pressure medicine or extra doses without medical guidance.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT stop their regular medicines suddenly — that can also be dangerous.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT tell them to "just relax" and go to sleep if symptoms are severe.

How to Call for Help

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Call 112. Say: "Very high blood pressure with severe headache / chest pain / vision problems."
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Share their BP reading if known, age, medicines, and pregnancy status.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — For mild elevation without symptoms, contact their doctor urgently — but call 112 if unsure.

When Professional Care Is Needed

High blood pressure with severe headache, chest pain, vision changes, or confusion needs emergency care.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Hypertensive crisis with organ symptoms (head, heart, brain, eyes) needs emergency hospital care.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Pregnant women with high BP and headache or swelling need emergency evaluation for preeclampsia.
