Suspect spinal injury if kicked in head, neck, or back — minimize movement.
Call 112. Keep still. Press bleeding. Do not move if back hurt.
Step 1: Move the person away from the animal if it is still agitated
Step 2: Call 112 — large animal kicks can cause internal bleeding
Step 3: Do not move the person if spine injury suspected
Step 4: Apply pressure to external bleeding
Step 5: Keep the person still and warm
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT stand directly behind a horse or cow — blind spot for kicks.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT move someone with suspected neck or back injury unless immediate danger.
