Call 112. Cap off. Jab outer thigh hard. Hold 3 seconds. Second dose in 5 minutes if needed.
Step 1: Call 112 or 108 — tell them you are giving epinephrine
Step 2: Pull off the safety cap from the auto-injector
Step 3: Press the orange tip firmly into the outer middle thigh for 3 seconds
Step 4: Massage the injection site for 10 seconds
Step 5: Prepare a second dose in 5 minutes if symptoms continue
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT inject into fingers, hands, buttocks, or veins — wrong placement is dangerous.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT hesitate because the person is awake — epinephrine works best when given early.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT put your thumb over the orange tip — you could inject yourself.
Epinephrine is emergency first aid — ambulance must still come.
