Step 2: Stay calm — elevator cabs rarely fall when cables are intact
Step 3: Do not force doors open or climb out between floors
Step 4: Sit down, conserve energy, and wait for trained technicians
Step 5: Call building security or 112 if intercom fails and wait time exceeds 30 minutes

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT pry doors open with tools or fingers.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT attempt to exit between floors onto the shaft ledge.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — If no response in 30 minutes, call 112 — say elevator entrapment, building address, floor estimate.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Give number of people and any medical conditions.

Call for technician rescue if intercom fails, medical distress occurs, or wait exceeds 30 minutes.

DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Fire department or elevator technician performs rescue — not occupants.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Seek medical care if chest pain, panic attack, or heat exhaustion occurred during wait.
