Call 112. Head down knees chest. Hand reduce pressure on cord. No pushing.
Step 1: Call 112 immediately — cord prolapse
Step 2: Knee-chest or head-down tilt position for mother
Step 3: Push cord back gently if visible ONLY if trained instruction — usually elevate presenting part hand in vagina reducing pressure
Step 4: Fill bladder if Foley available hospital skill — civilian keeps hand elevating part
Step 5: Emergency cesarean needed — do not push
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT push mother to deliver — worsens compression.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT pull cord back roughly.
Any suspected cord prolapse is immediate cesarean emergency.
