Grab float device. Call 112. Count everyone. Throw float — do not jump in.
Step 1: Ensure everyone wears or grabs flotation if available
Step 2: Call 112 or coast guard emergency number
Step 3: Account for all passengers — count heads in water
Step 4: Throw flotation to person in water — do not jump in unless trained
Step 5: Get hypothermic persons dry and warm
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT jump in to save unless trained lifeguard with float.
DEVELOPMENT FIXTURE — Do NOT start engine near people in water — propeller strike.
Anyone submerged, unconscious in water, or not breathing needs rescue and hospital.
